A twin star of the Sun may have formed along with our solar system, a new study from the Center for Astrophysics finds. While Californian regulators have been taking aim at the likes of Uber and Lyft over how they classify their drivers, the state has also been addressing legislation that governs shared mobility devices like escooters and ebikes — and it’s thrown operators a lifeline. The number of European unicorns increased during the first half of 2020, says PitchBook’s latest report. The aggregate valuation of current unicorns in the ecosystem rose, too. In total, Europe saw its unicorn count increase by 10 in H1 2020, bringing the total in the continent to 53.
